The vacuum carburizing temperature is generally higher than that of ordinary gas carburizing. Carburizing and diffusion are often used at 920~1040 C. Vacuum carburized layer is formed faster than ordinary gas, liquid and solid carburized layer because of its high temperature, especially its clean surface and high activity. If the carburized layer needs 1 millimeters, it will take 927 hours and 1 hours at 1033 degrees Celsius, only 5 hours.
